In Georgia, a dehumidifier is usually needed in the summertime, to work along with your air conditioner, to help remove humidity from your home. Hot air holds more humidity than cold air. High humidity levels can make you feel uncomfortable as well as help breed bacteria, viruses, fungi, and dust mites. High humidity levels make you feel warmer, so that you have to turn the thermostat down to a lower setting in order to be comfortable.

A Steam humidifier produces its own steam independent of equipment operation, so your home gets moisture when you need it most. Steam is the most eco-friendly way to humidify your home, because it uses up to 70 percent less water while delivering more moisture than traditional whole-house humidifiers. Other humidifiers rely on moisture-filled pads that can be susceptible to bacteria growth in the water and airstream. Steam is the cleanest form of humidification.
